Bedding!!! The focal point of any beautiful bedroom.

ideas for bedding and custom bedding

Bedding is the focal point of any bedroom. It is the frosting on the cake. I have seen many bedrooms with beautiful furniture, but the bedding is either old, out of style or just plain uninteresting.Beautiful bedding comes in many choices. First, there is the department store brands. These can be a good price or quite expensive depending on the brands. There is also semi-custom, which is usually sold through design stores or designers. The most well known of these is Eastern Accents. They have a wide variety of bedding choices the can do custom length and you have choices for pillows, etc. Custom is the most expensive, but the most fun. Anything you can dream can be done.So now that you know all that boring information, I will tell you how to have fun with it.

Great custom bedding ideas

Budget concious bedding

In these budget conscious days, getting the fabulous look can be a challenge. Target has so many wonderful choices. I like to mix and match sets to give it a custom look. Buy a white quilted matlese spread, tuck in the sides and then add a colorful spread folded in quarters at the end of the bed. Mix and match euro shams and bolsters. This can be done for any style. Silk spreads from Target look expensive but are very affordable. It recreates the old 1940's movies star look. And who doesn't want a sexy movie star bedroom. But if movie star isn't your thing, go for the textures or patterns. For master bedrooms, stay away from theme rooms. It gets dated really fast.
