Biography of a Chicago Designer

Anne Honan is a Chicago designer who has specialized for more than 10 years in providing classical and contemporary European interior design to prominent clients in the Northwest Suburbs.

Anne provides services ranging from custom window treatment design to space planning to furniture selection, based on ideas she collects in her twice-yearly trips to such countries as Italy, France and England.

Anne works on homes of leading professionals in such communities as Geneva, Barrington, St. Charles, Lincoln Park, Arlington Heights, and Elk Grove Village. She also consults with and provides design service to high-end builders and developers in those communities.

Her highly qualified team of subcontractors includes some of the area's top faux painters, window treatment workroom professionals, installers, and others. Serving as her business and project team manager is her husband Steve, who also owns one of Chicago's leading leather restoration companies.

Anne worked for two area design firms before launching her own company in 2000. Prior to that, she studied art and history at John Cabot University in Rome, then continued her design studies at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Il while raising five daughters.

In addition to creating custom window coverings for her clients, Anne shares her expertise with them on such topics as color, art, and fabrics. Her articles on interior design have appeared in newspapers throughout Illinois.
