Cotton

Cotton is a very green (natural) fabric. It comes from the boll of the cotton plant. When you are out in the market some of the names that you will see, are calico, chintz, denim, gingham, muslin, organdy, percale, sateen, terry cloth, and velveteen. Some great applications for this fabric can be window treatments, bedding, some furniture if you use a fabric blend. Generally in a window treatment I line them because it helps them last longer and it hangs better. Don't use 100% on furniture because it wrinkles and does not wear too well. It is very absorbent and comfortable. And has a cool hand and good static resistance.
